Jig Worming With The PlasmaTail [VIDEO]

The guys at BassUtopia (be sure to subscribe to their channel!) spent a day on the water jig-worming with the PlasmaTail. The results they had were nothing but spectacular. The bass just couldn’t keep off this bait. Watch and see for yourself! It starts to heat up around 4 minutes...

Part 2

The setup:

Denali Noirwood Rod (7' Medium rod fast action)
Pfluegger Patriarch Reel
Gopher Tackle 3/16 oz jig
8 pound Trilene flouro

How do you set up a jig worm.Do you use a weedless hook or not? Not enough information

Thanks for the feedback guys! Sorry we didn’t cover it more specifically. When we filmed it we weren’t necessarily looking to promote the bait, we were just trying it out. After, we got pretty excited about it and have used it a lot more! We’ll do a follow up video for it the next we are out and talk more about the rigging and technique.

Good video but I too would like to see specifically how it was rigged. Weight? Hook size? Swimming it over the grass or fished on the bottom? Some of us “ain’t too bright” and we need a little extra help……..

I used a 1/16 VMC weedless wacky jig with great success twitching it on the bottom and letting the current pull it down river. I threaded the head of the PlasmaTail through the hook and tucked the barb in ala Texas Rig weedless.

I knew that this worm is great. Love at first site. The video confirm my taste, I just received my package and I’m dying to throw it and see how much I will catch.

i would like to see a video showing the technical side of how to fish this type of worm. like do you fish it on the bottom or suspended off the bottom and if so how to determine how far to fish it off the bottom.
